Behind the scenes: XP Gymnastics Championships 2024

Gymnastics New Zealand’s mission to create positive experiences for all athletes is something we admire, and it resonates with our own values.  

This week, we supported them behind the scenes by providing tech support that helped the event run smoothly for over 900 athletes. And of course, we also contributed sponsorship to help make the event the best it could be. 

Gymnastics CEO Andrea Nelson and our CEO, Christi Moller, share a common goal—to make gymnastics better by leveraging technology to enhance the sport. Their ongoing collaboration and shared drive for excellence are sure to bring even more exciting developments in the years to come. 

We’d also like to extend a special thanks to Andrea, for her incredible support in getting our name out there and promoting us to other non-profits, sports organisations, and clubs. Her efforts helped build strong connections that are already paving the way for future collaborations. 

One of our highlights was getting to meet Olympians Dylan Schmidt and Maddie Davidson, they are truly inspiring!!  

We were also honoured to present medals at the awards ceremonies, sharing in the athletes’ excitement as they celebrated their achievements. 

We saw some incredible talent. There were flips, tumbles, rhythm, and most importantly, smiles, high fives, cheers, and hugs.  

The athletes were having a blast, and the positive energy was contagious. 

For us, this experience was more than just tech support. It was an eye-opener. We’ve come away with a huge appreciation for gymnasts’ dedication, and discipline.  

That’s something we at XP value too. As Christi said during the opening ceremony, “XP believes in supporting organisations that embody excellence, dedication, and teamwork—which is reflected perfectly in gymnastics.”  

All in all, the XP NZ Gymnastics Champs was unforgettable.
